The National Weather Service forecast calls for a partly sunny, breezy, and very warm Wednesday, followed by a partly sunny Thursday that reaches the low 90s and carries a warning about dehydration and heatstroke during strenuous activity.
That heat will not last long. A chance of rain moves in Thursday night, and Friday turns much cooler with intervals of clouds and sunshine and a high near the upper 50s.
The same forecast shows the cooler air sticking around Friday night, when temperatures dip into the mid-30s, which is a big shift after the midweek warmth.
