An Endangered Silver Advisory has been issued as the search continues for Lloyd Greenfield, a 92-year-old Kansas City man who disappeared late Sunday night in south Kansas City.

Authorities are asking the public to stay alert after Greenfield was last seen around 10:30 p.m. on April 12 near 104th Street and Oak.

Greenfield was last seen wearing a red Chiefs jacket with white writing, and investigators believe he may be on foot.

His family has not been able to locate him and remains worried about his well-being, adding urgency to the search as police continue working to find him.

The case quickly escalated beyond a standard missing-person alert.

By Monday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol had issued the Endangered Silver Advisory, a step typically used when an older missing person may be at risk and immediate public attention could make a difference.

That elevated alert gives the case wider visibility and signals the level of concern surrounding Greenfield’s disappearance.

The last confirmed area connected to the case is the neighborhood around 104th and Oak, and that detail may be especially important for anyone in south Kansas City who was out late Sunday night or early Monday morning.

Even a small sighting could matter in a case like this, particularly when the missing person is believed to be traveling on foot rather than by vehicle.

At this point, no public update has indicated that Greenfield has been found.

The most useful identifying details remain his name, age, last known location, clothing, and the fact that he is believed to be on foot.

Anyone who sees Lloyd Greenfield or has information that could help locate him is being urged to call 911 immediately.
